I first heard of the Houseki race from a tabletop game called N.E.W. from the W.O.I.N series. They are a crystalline race with joints that tinkle and grind as these humanoids move. Without many reference images pertaining to these beings, I decided to try and recreate a member of this race, with shiny and cracked skin along with spikey protrusions. I also have sample animations displayed in the video, used for testing purposes when rigging and skinning. This was the first time I had attempted to do a facial rig with animations.
